ATTEN Queensland

The Australian Technologies Teacher Education Network (ATTEN) comprises technology teacher educators from universities around Australia, passionate about developing pre-service and in-service teachers’ capacities to support their students in a digital world.

ATTEN supports advocacy, collaboration, teaching and research, and aims to:

Represent Australian University Technologies Teacher Educators;
Develop a better understanding of the Technologies pre-service teacher education landscape in Australia through communication of common understandings for the implementation of Technologies education in pre-service Initial Teacher Education (ITE) programs;
Share and develop pedagogical strategies to promote excellence in pre-service teacher Technologies Education;
Share and develop resources that help teachers teach the Technologies Curriculum in Australian schools;
Identify research needs and collaborative research opportunities in the Technologies teacher education area; and
Ensure that ATTEN becomes a sustainable organisation, providing a strong voice in the advocacy of Technologies teacher education.

The ATTEN is a network of the Australian Council Deans of Education (ACDE) under terms of reference.

Dr Jason Zagami at Griffith University is the current ATTEN Queensland State Representative and can be contacted to raise state issues or to add Queensland academics to members of ATTEN.
