While continuing to research a wide variety of belief systems, Dr Zagami worships in the Anglican faith in which he has been active as a liturgical assistant (St David's, Chelmer (1999 - 2007); St Peter's, Southport (1997 - 1999), on parish councils (St David's, Chelmer (1999 - 2007); St Peter's, Southport (1996 - 1999, 2015 - 2016), diocesan regional council (2004 - 2006), the general synod of the Brisbane Diocese (2002 - 2007), leading catechumenate programmes (2001 - 2005), and in teaching religious studies in Anglican schools (1998 - 2006).

Dr Zagami is also an ordained minister of the Universal Church of Life, for no other reason than because he could.

Let it be known that on this date, Sunday the 19th of June 2016, in accordance with the laws of the Universal Life Church Ministries, that I, Brother Martin, do ordain you, Jason Anthony Zagami, into our ministry. From this day forward, you are entitled to all of the rights afforded to an ordained minister. As an independent minister of the ULC you have the authority to perform marriages, baptisms, and all other ceremonies of the church. This position, while a great privilege, carries with it a burden of responsibility; please respect others and comply with the laws of the land.
